Paris, France, May 4th 2024: Netball France, together with its Board and members, are delighted to announce that Geva Mentor (CBE) has been appointed to the role of Performance Director.
In keeping with the pioneering spirit of Netball France, the creation of this board level role is in recognition of the continued growth of Netball in France and ensures expert leadership of all Performance Pathway topics – Open National Squad, Junior National Squad & Development Hubs.

In welcoming Geva to her new role, Netball France President, Bethany Lord, commented: “Geva is an icon of the game, and her contribution to netball internationally has been an inspiration to athletes all over the world, including myself. Netball France are delighted that Geva has chosen to bring her expertise to France, and we look forward to working with her to grow the game both in France and internationally!”

In her 20 years plus career to date Geva has 175 caps with the England Roses including 6 Commonwealth Games and is the holder of a Commonwealth Games gold medal. And, following her retirement from international netball in 2023, has returned to the UK Superleague to play for Leeds Rhinos.

Notwithstanding a truly inspiring playing track record, Geva shares a strong alignment with the values, mission, and objectives of Netball France, and the Board is delighted to be working with her to continue to grow this dynamic and inclusive sport in France.
